Animal Health and Bio-Security Programmes 3 Week Online Course (15 Hours)

This practical course provides learners with the knowledge and skills required to implement effective animal health management and bio-security systems in livestock farming. It focuses on preventing disease outbreaks, maintaining animal welfare, and supporting consistent production performance.

Learners will explore key practices such as routine health monitoring, clinical examination techniques, vaccination programmes, and correct treatment procedures. The course also covers dosage calculation, calibration practices, and the development of structured health programmes to reduce risks on farms.

By the end of the course, learners will be equipped to implement bio-security measures and manage animal health effectively in different livestock production systems.

Available in English, Afrikaans, Zulu, Xhosa and Sesotho.

On completion of the course you will receive a QCTO accredited certificate aligned to Unit Standard 116308 (NQF Level 4, Credits: 3).
