Waste Oil Burner Heat Exchanger

This unit can be used as a pool heater with the pump running on a timer, allowing the water in the 200L jacket to heat up before being circulated as the pump fills the tank with cold water. It takes approximately 1.5 hours from start-up to achieve a water temperature of 70°C in still water.

The unit only requires electricity to power the 360W air blower, resulting in low power consumption compared to electric heating elements.

For start-up, approximately 1.8 litres of oil is required. Once the combustion chamber has reached operating temperature, the fuel-to-air ratio can be adjusted to reduce fuel consumption.

The water inlet and outlet pipes are 1-inch. The red pipe on top is the hot water outlet, and the blue pipe on the side is the cold water inlet.
