The Hydroponics system is 100% complete, including fertiliser and harvesting crates. It has 8400 holes in which to plant. I grow lettuce and spring onions in it, but there is a very wide range of plants you can grow.

The tunnel is 10m x 15m plus the Sump and the Tank of 2400L x 2. The whole system runs on 44000L of water. The pump both pump 10,000 L/hour. The system was built to be easily dismantled and reconstructed cheaply.

I have successfully produced between 3000 and 4000 heads of lettuce per month

The system is currently NOT operational, and partly dismantled, but is still complete. Only small repair work is needed on the shade net. Everything else is in very good condition.
The cost to build the whole system 18 months ago was R90 000.00, excluding labour.
