This course equips learners with practical and theoretical knowledge of welding, soldering, and metalwork as applied in agricultural settings. It covers various welding methods (SMAW, MIG, TIG, gas), safety procedures, equipment maintenance, and the identification of welding defects. The soldering component teaches the differences between soldering, welding, and brazing, as well as techniques, tools, and fault correction for electrical and plumbing repairs. The metalwork section focuses on tool use, measuring and cutting techniques, bending and joining metals, surface finishing, and workshop safety. Overall, the course prepares learners to perform structural maintenance, repairs, and fabrications needed in modern agricultural operations.
