The technical stuff:
• This is the BN13V-218-2.8k battery from the Blue Nova Mobile Power Series
• It is 13 V DC rated for 12 V DC applications – well suited for back-up energy storage for inverters and uninterruptable power supply (UPS) units and especially suited for leisure applications (powering accessories such as lights and fridges on boats, camping trailers and off-road vehicles).
• High quality maintenance-free Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) cells are used in these batteries, backed by a 3 year warranty provided by the manufacturer (located in RSA) which is one of the best warranties provided for this type of lithium battery. We register each battery (based on its serial number) to your name with Blue Nova to initiate the warranty.
• Energy storage capacity is 218 Ah (2 830 Watt hour) at reference test conditions
• The continuous discharge current capacity is 20 A continuous, 100 A maximum.
• The lifespan is 3 000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge during each discharge/charge cycle (≈ 8 years at one discharge/charge cycle per day).
• Up to 2, 3 or 4 batteries can be connected in series to suit your 24 V, 36 V and 48 V applications respectively. (Please Note : 24 V batteries listed under separate H&G lot numbers may be more suitable for your application)
• The built-in battery management system protects the cells against premature failure due to over-charging, over-discharging and short-circuit conditions.

• Low cost of ownership compared to lead-acid batteries (up to 50% lower over 6 to 8 years lifecycle)

• Not suitable as engine starter/cranking battery for your car or bakkie (or your tractor!)

About your purchase:
• We are registered Blue Nova resellers and the battery you will receive is supplied by Blue Nova Energy, is new and delivered in the sealed original packaging from Blue Nova Energy.
• The price includes delivery by our courier to a street address during normal business hours on weekdays (excluding public holidays). If delivery to a farm is preferred, the courier does charge an additional amount for this service, which will need to be paid by the buyer.
• If a buyer prefers to have the shipment insured against loss in transit, we will gladly arrange that at a cost of R325-00 (to be paid by the buyer).
• If two units are bought (on the same lot number and to the same delivery address), we will insure one of the two batteries against loss in transit at no additional cost to the buyer.
• If four units are bought (on the same lot number and to the same delivery address), we will insure all four of them against loss in transit at no additional cost to the buyer.
